NUCA of Iowa’s two-day Safety Directors Forum offers the unique opportunity for safety management to network with other utility construction safety managers from across the Iowa. Safety experts will present seminars and open-forum discussions on the most important and relevant safety information members need.

Topics: Strategies for reducing workman’s compensation claims with light work employment – presented by Holmes Murphy
Preparing for OSHA Inspections and reducing OSHA Fines – presented by Occupational Safety Consultants
Iowa One Call Rules and Complaint Filing – presented by Iowa Utility Board & Iowa AG
Thursday, December 5 @ 5pm – 8pm at Prairie Meadows, Altoona: Networking, Cocktail Hour, Dinner and URTS keynote speaker. Eric Giguere – Buried Alive: Lessons from a Trench Collapse Survivor. This man beat overwhelming odds. His story is a sobering reminder of why securing trench walls is so critical.
Friday, December 6 @ 9am -12 noon at Zeigler CAT, Altoona: Breakout sessions and open forum round table discussions on topics concerning safety management and utility strike issues. We plan to have two main breakout areas. One for Safety Topics and the other for Utility Strike Topics
